CRUISE WARRANTY: TERMS & CONDITIONS

A Cruise warranty covers the repair of your Cruise air conditioner if it is found to be defective due to faulty materials or workmanship within the warranty period. Please refer to your owner's manual to verify the terms and conditions of your warranty.


HOME AIR CONDITIONERS: WARRANTY TERMS

The Cruise split inverter, split non-inverter & window air conditioners upto 2.0 Ton capacity comes with 12 months (1 year) comprehensive warranty from the date of purchase on all parts except front panel and plastic parts and, thereafter 48 months (4 years) additional warranty on the compressor subject to company policies. The warranty provided is valid only if the Warranty Certificate Card bears the rubber stamp, date and signature of Cruise’s Authorized Channel Partner / Service Provider. M/s Cruise Appliances Pvt. Ltd. (The Company) warrants to the Original Purchaser that for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, the company will repair or replace free of charge any part or parts of the Air Conditioner (except plastic parts), which proves upon inspection by the Company or any of its Authorized Sales and Service Representatives to have been defective due to faulty material or poor workmanship. Warranty involves repairing of defective product/ parts and does not entitle purchaser for the replacement of complete product.


  • This warranty shall be valid only for the said period of 12 months as specified above, irrespective of whether the said unit has been in use or not for any reason whatsoever, or the unit is moved from one location to another. Warranty does not cover accessories external to the equipment.
  • This warranty is confined to the first purchaser of the product only.
  • Repair or replacement will be carried out through the Company’s Service Centres or its Authorized Service Providers only.
  • This warranty shall stand automatically terminated in the event of the said unit being serviced, repaired, installed, de-installed, re-installed or otherwise attended to by any person or organization or agency or by the said purchaser himself other than the authorized representative of the company or its authorised service providers.
  • Warranty does not cover parts / coils damaged due to polluted/ corrosive atmosphere. Warranty does not cover plastic parts of the Air Conditioner.
  • The warranty for machine will expire automatically upon completion of 12 months from date of purchase on invoice irrespective of whether the AC has been in use or not, for any reason whatsoever, including any technical breakdowns, time taken for repairs, replacement and transit, power cuts, restrictions or the unit is moved from one location to another, etc.
  • Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting or mishandling is not covered under Warranty
  • The AC is designed to operate at a range of (230V +/- 10%). Any failure due to operation of the machine beyond these limits will not be covered by the above warranty. The Customer shall ensure that a voltage stabilizer is installed in those areas where voltage is not available within the warranty range (230V +/- 10%). The stabilizer should be of any reputed manufacturer. However, voltage stabilizing equipment is not covered under this Warranty.
  • The Purchaser should preserve the original invoice and Warranty Certificate Card for necessary verification and should produce it at the time of service.
  • Onsite warranty is not available for any Portable Air Conditioner. Portable AC's service and complaint will be attended at our Authorized Service Centres only.
  • Any loss of refrigerant caused due to sabotage, improper handling or treatment, carelessness, accident, fire, flood earthquake or any natural calamity any corrosive action on the original refrigerant pipes, fittings, valves etc for whatever reasons, shall not be covered under this warranty.
  • None of the employees and /or Authorized Dealers of the Company have any authority whatsoever to vary the terms and conditions of this warranty.
  • This warranty shall be deemed to have been issued at Mumbai, state of Maharashtra and courts at Mumbai shall have exclusive jurisdiction on matters covered by or following from this warranty, and the original purchaser alone shall have cause of action arising out of the transaction.
  • The product is not registered with the company or not purchased from an Authorized Cruise Channel Partner and improper installation by unauthorized personnel is carried out.
  • Any modifications or alterations are made in the wiring or connections of the unit.
  • At any time, during the warranty period if any part of the unit is tampered with, altered, repaired or serviced by any unauthorized person, not being the authorized representative of the company or its authorized dealers
  • Defects caused by improper use as determined by the company personnel.
  • If any component fails due to abnormal power supply.
  • Any damage caused due to fire, flood, accident, corrosion, rodents, abuse or misuse.
  • Defects arising due to environment such as polluted or corrosive atmosphere.
  • The serial number of the unit or any part thereof is damaged, defaced, altered, obliterated , or tampered with or removal for any reason whatsoever.
  • The unit is moved from its original place of installation or re-installation.
  • The warranty on Portable Air Conditioner does not apply to any damage resulting from abusive, unreasonable use or damage. Commercial application or usage of the Portable AC is not covered under this warranty.

LIFETIME FREE SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • Lifetime warranty on inverter compressor is applicable on purchase of Cruise VarioQool Inverter Ac's only for individual/retail customers. Lifetime for a residential air conditioner is defined as 10 years based on the E-Waste management rules 2016 guidelines (which defines the lifetime of the inverter compressor in the offer).
  • Free service & extended warranty policy is applicable for Cruise Inverter Split air conditioners of 1.0 & 1.5 Ton capacity invoiced to end-customer, sold via authorised channel partners only.
  • Over and above the 1 Year comprehensive warranty, the additional 9 Year warranty is only on Inverter compressor and does not include any other part, gas charging & labour costs.
  • 2 Free preventive maintenance service calls will be provided within the one year standard warranty period, and 8 free periodic preventive maintenance services will be provided on an interval of 6 months/year for additional 4 years.
  • To claim this additional warranty and service offer, customer is required to register the product and personal details with Cruise within 7 days of purchase.
  • The following details would be required for complete product registration: [Customer Details] Customer full name, address, mobile number, e-mail ID; [Channel partner details] Dealer name, invoice number, invoice date; [Product details] Model name & serial number of indoor unit, outdoor unit and compressor.
  • The air conditioner unit is required to be installed by a Cruise Authorized Service Partner only, to avail this offer.
  • To get the free services, customer needs to book all service calls with Cruise Customer Care number 829 123 8800 or register a service request on the company’s website www.cruiseac.com. In any other case, the offer will be deemed invalid.
  • All periodic preventive maintenance services for the 5 year period is to be done by an authorized service partner of Cruise.
  • The Customer is required to produce the original invoice copy and extended warranty booklet [duly filled by the authorised seller] at the time of periodic services, during the 5 year offer period.
  • Any product breakdown repairs or replacement of parts (including all functional parts, plastic & sheet metal parts, gas charging & labour), will be done on chargeable basis after a period of one year comprehensive standard warranty period.
  • For attending any service call under this offer beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction/locality in which the Authorised Service Provider of Cruise is situated (outstation locations), all expenses incurred in dispatching the unit, or parts thereof, in connection with deputing of service personnel/ technicians, to and fro conveyance and other incidentals as prevailing from time to time will be borne by the customer.
  • This offer will be null and void if the product is opened/rep aired/- modified by any unauthorized service person/center and such a unit shall be declared as tampered. No further warranty or free services shall be applicable on such unit.
  • This service offer will automatically expire once the free services are availed or the 5 year period is completed (whichever condition is satisfied first).
  • In the event of any re-installation/ or change in the location of the unit during the offer period, this offer shall become null and void.
  • The company shall not be deemed to be in default for any delay in servicing/ regulation of government, public movement, war performance or any unavoidable situation or force majeure etc.
  • Offer is not applicable on cassette, floor standing, ducted or Grande split air conditioners.
  • Any institutional sale is not covered in this offer.
  • The company reserves the right to withdraw this offer at its sole discretion at any point of time.
  • All other terms & conditions shall remain the same as per original warranty card of the product except of those covered above.
  • All differences or disputes arising out of this offer are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts at Mumbai, India.
  • Worth Value of this offer is the perceived value for the customer, as per the average price of services.
